Our engagement and wedding photos are in! Also, we have a shiny, new car. Add that to a wonderful feast with friends and Thanksgiving weekend has given us plenty more to be thankful for (despite the fact that our cups already runneth over).
The Mr took care of waxing the windows to get them opening and closing a bit more smoothly. He also sealed a crack in the glass of our front window with silicone (not the prettiest fix, but then, what we really need is a new pane of glass…what a pain). On top of that, he hauled another load for donation to the Salvation Army. I think that makes four so far this year. We’ll have at least one other…maybe two.
I’ve dug out some some holiday decorations and hit Target yesterday for a bit more. The stockings are hung, the advent wreath is set up and our nativity set is out of storage. I’m currently working on an advent calendar (I thought something similar to this one seemed like it would make a nice addition to our decorations). I also reupholstered one chair seat and have the cloth to redo the seats for those vintage steel chairs we recently bought. Oh…and we’ve rearranged the living room. I’d take a photo of that, but the coffee table is embarrassingly cluttered.
We won’t make the eight-week cure deadline, but never fear! Things are still moving along and we’ll be ok for a party early next year.
